"In August of 2002, Capt. Rick took us out on a morning salmon run out of Alpena. Our first impression of the Wipeout was that it was a new, clean, well equipped, and well maintained vessel. Capt. Rick and First Mate Stan greeted us at the Alpena Launch, and were ready to depart as soon as we arrived. After the 40 minute commute to the hot spot, and a few Dunkin' Donuts, Rick had the lines set in a matter of a few minutes. Within another ten minutes, we had our first fish on."
"We had a very productive day netting at least a dozen fish. There were four of us fishing, so we decided not to keep them all. We were all amateurs, so the experiance and knowledge of Capt. Rick kept us in check. After a few quick lessons, we were pulling rods and setting hooks, without many mistakes. We ended up with seven Chinook Salmon, one Atlantic Salmon and a Lake Trout. The largest was about 48 inch's and 25 pounds."

Thanks for the great fishing trip on the Wipeout! Again a good time was had by all. You led us right to the fishing hot spot when all the other boats were going in circles. You and First Mate Stan did a great job, got the lines in and down fast, worked hard and made sure we landed the big Kings and Lake Trout and had a good time doing it. Also, thanks for helping the two boys who were surpised and never seen fish so big, or realize a huge fish fights so hard and takes 15 min to land! Excellent trip. They will never forget the memories and fishing with their Dad, My brother.
